West Point yearlings get close with their battle buddies during close quarters combat training in the combatives pit June 30. The Cows and Firsties provided demonstrations and supervision on combat grappling, submissions, escapes and other techniques. With Cadet Field Training for the Class of 2013 well underway, the yearlings are challenged with numerous skill-testing activities, including the water confidence course, first responder training, land navigation and patrolling. This bank holiday weekend should be remembered as the one in which as a family we finally ‘got’ swimming. I did some of those baby lessons with J when he was tiny and he HATED them, he’s been very nervy about the whole thing ever since, so we’ve only really done it sporadically.
But suddenly something has switched and now swimming is the best thing ever! His confidence has come on loads and we can even let go of him for seconds at a time without him freaking out. Though he was adamant he needed goggles (I think he thinks they make him look like a super-hero – he currently has a Sportacus obsession). And as it turns out they’re very useful for hair washing too.
Citrine Crystal Ball
This is a form of quartz that has a yellow coloration. It gets its name from "citrus" (Latin) a citron (a fruit like a lemon) Much of the natural citrines may have started out as amethyst but heat from nearby magmatic bodies may have caused the change to citrine. The coloration of the stone can vary from yellow to orange tones. Superstitions claim that it is a lucky crystal- so certainly one to carry when doing the lotto!
Citrine is claimed to have the following healing properties:
Citrine is claimed to be good for the kidneys, colon, liver and gallbladder. It can help with digestive disorders and heart tissue regeneration. Some claim that it can prevent self-destructive tendencies by raining your level of self esteem. It is a crystal that is a imagined as being like a good friend that encourages you and gives you self-confidence. Its emotional qualities are optimism, hope and warmth. And crystal lore says that Citrine attracts good fortune and abundance.

Told you I had a suprise! Deepony is back! Clips are taken from 31st December (My 18th!) and her first time being ridden in months. She was such a good girly. I had originally planned for Dee to come back in work at the end of January, but due to her needing another assessment for her hocks she needed to be back in work as soon as possible. She got shoes back on on the 30th, but I was out XC training with little Cruisey, so earliest I could get back on her was then. Not going to lie, was the best moment of my Birthday! As odd as it seems the operation and time off has done us the world of good, we have bonded together again, everytime I walk past her fireld to the muck heap, she will lift her head, stop grazing and whinney. She really is everything to me, as much she can be a brat. Currently she just seems just so happy and content. I even managed to get her out on a hack yesterday down the fields, which may not seem a big deal but only a few months ago I couldnt get her off the yard and into the first field without her planting her feet and refusing to move. I’m not as such making any plans with Dee at the moment for this year. I’m simply going to get her back fit again, and if she seems happy start to take her once again out to locals to get her back out and about. Try some Hunter Trials, even if they are 2’6, she just needs her confidence back and if she doesn’t want to do XC I’m not forcing her. Might just stick with some Dressage and BSJA instead. See what happens … Video Rating: 4 / 5
Question by : After battling an eating disorder, how can i regain confidence to wear my clothes?
i have/used to have an eating disorder. ive been struggling for about 2 1/2 years but recently ive made a lot of improvement. for christmas i got a buncha of form fitting shirts, and i havnt been able to wear tight clothing around my stomach area for a few years. how do i get some confidence in order to wear these clothes?
Best answer:
Answer by Kezia Kent – vepers i used to be self conscious of my body, but my mum and good friends used to tell me it doesn’t matter what i look like. and its true, people wont just stand in the street and laugh, and if you think people are talking about you behind your back just ignore them, don’t talk to them because your better than them! you should wear the tops and be proud because those people don’t know what you’ve been though and shouldn’t judge you for who you are, don’t be afraid and and ignore the stupid people.
but if you want to get the confidence start slowly, not baggy clothes, but not tight either, start in the middle and work your way up. Or just go for it and impress everyone with your beauty!
I don’t know if this helped in any way but i felt i needed to say something.. be happy xx
oh and congrats on beating it

Tonight it was Who magazines ‘Sexiest People Party’.
As you may have heard via the sexy Sydney grapevine, Ricki-Lee Coulter made an appearance on Who magazine’s sought-after Sexiest People issue, which is out next flirty Friday.
Ms Sexy was also tonight’s guest performer (in public) at Who’s Sexiest People Party in the Great Hall at the University of Sydney. We’ve been told it was her birthday, which is a pretty sexy occasion in our lives if you think about it. She looks good for 26th don’t you think.
"Losing weight has given me an extra boost," Coulter told Who magazine. "But I think back to when I met my boyfriend (Richard Harrison) and I was the heaviest I’ve ever been.
"It didn’t bother me…I still flicked my hair around and did my thing. Losing weight has certainly boosted my confidence but I think I have always been self-assured."
Woman’s Day, an ACP Magazine title, has parted with a considerable amount of money for a number of exclusive stories and photos with her.
Did you catch her "tits and ass" shoot with Maxim magazine? It’s pretty hot and not much is left to the imagination.
On being her sexy self, RCL says: "I’m not opposed to being naked, so my ultimate sexy night in would be sans clothes, some candles and maybe some massage oil … things can get sexy pretty quickly!
"I would highly recommend staying away from the stove and trying to cook dinner when you are naked, though — order takeaway instead!" she told Who.
Speaking of other sexy bodies, you should have seen Lara Bingle tonight. Some media chat centred around her little belly and if she may have been pregnant or not.
For the record names present included Lara Bingle, Ricci-Lee Coulter, Brynne & Geoffrey Edelsten, Esither Anderson, Charlotte Dawson, Samara Weaving, Montana Cox and Rebecca Breeds.
The latest arrivals were ‘The Veronicas’ (Jessica and Lisa Origliasso), who have only just started get back into the public and media eye after a few years or laying pretty low.
Well done to David Grant and the team at dg3 Event Management who helped put on a golden night of entertainment, glam and sexiness.
Guess who is getting sexy tonight, and we’re taken, but in sexy Sydney you shouldn’t have too much trouble in getting naked with a like minded individual or three.
We can’t wait till next year to do it all over again.

Inspired by Spigrrl’s 365 photo today, just feeling a bit down at the moment, home alone this evening thinking depressing thoughts.
Work is getting me down at the moment – I haven’t really done anything useful or productive for several months now and I’m uncertain as to what I’ll be doing in the future. I don’t know whether to go or stay. I want to make a difference, I want to deliver awesomeness but I’m feeling very much out of control like I have no influence and will soon be completely out of the picture. It’s depressing, having invested several years into this project to then not be able to see it through to completion.
Also for the last 8 years I’ve been experiencing some heart problems – and over the past week it’s been pretty full on with episodes several times a day – it’s scaring me. Off to see the doctor tomorrow and then probably a cardiologist sometime in the next month or so; I’m hoping that it’s all nothing, but I fear it’s something serious. In the context of what I’ve been through in my life and what happened last year doesn’t give me much confidence. I’m feeling a bit hopeless, drifting … I don’t know what’s going to happen. It’s only a precautionary measure, but even filling out the EPA form yesterday made me sad, made me think "dead end" stuff. Might as well go do a will while I’m at it.
It’s just a temporary blue – I’ll get through it soon I’m sure, especially with my awesome girlfriend by my side, supporting me – nonetheless while I’m still in this slump it’s a bit hard. I don’t feel like doing anything. Not even cooking dinner.
The Many Expressions Of Gizmo (one of 14) Number 1 Bottoms up
This is my little dog Gizmo. He’s a Lhasa Apso. He’s getting on a bit now. After seeing him in the mouth, of an out of control off-lead dog, being shook like a rag doll in front of my eldest son, fearing he was dead, and losing my other dog last year far too young, I have lost my confidence in walking him anywhere where offlead dogs are walked. This little dog means the world to us all. He was carefully chosen for his breed and personality, because my daughter feared dogs. Enough said. This is an ode to Gizmo.

CAMP HUMPHREYS — When Military Police Soldiers return from a deployment, it doesn’t necessarily mean they won’t be facing dangerous situations.
Incidents at Virginia Tech, Fort Hood, Texas, and Phoenix are vivid reminders of that.
However, the techniques and tactics that allowed for a successful deployment may not translate well in the United States.
“What we do in Iraq is not the same thing as in garrison,” said Cpl. Matthew Heydon, a team leader with the 557th Military Police Company.
With that in mind, the 557th trained on responding to active shooters on Feb. 24 and 25. The MPs conducted the paintball training in a former barracks building near the gas station.
The MPs would receive notice that a shooter was in the building and they had only that and their accumulated knowledge to fall back on.
Sergeant 1st Class Michael Brown, a 557th platoon sergeant, helped orgazine the training and he said it was more like Special Weapons and Tactics training than traditonal military work.
“The difference is that SWAT deals with barricaded subjects and hostages and here the focus is on active shooters,” he said.
Brown had his Soldiers start with solo missions because, he said, “We want them to go through by themsleves to get over their nervousness and to give them the confidence to go through.”
Knowing that a gunman was on the loose was all the knowledge Soldiers such as Pfc. Khalid Abbady had to work with.
“I was told to respond to an active shooter in the building,” said Abbady, a 557th medic. “This guy could be anywhere. There were seven to eight casualties in there.”
The notional casualites were picked for the role because they had no MP training, which Brown said “adds a more realistic effect.”
Some of the role-players were lying motionless and splattered in paintball explosions, while others went screaming from a room, panicking. Still, they managed to let Abbady know where the shooter was holed up.
“There were seven to eight casualties in there. Some were wounded and some were dead,” Abbady recalled. “I knew he was on the last door on the right. I went in quickly and tried to neutralize the threat. I went directly to the door and I went in and I got hit.”
Abbady continued to work on taking out the threat, only to get attacked by a second shooter.
But that makes for good training, he realized.
“It’s been a huge help and has been realistic,” Abbady said. “It changes everything when somebody’s in there. I learned not to fixate on one shooter because there could be more. You have to watch out for everything. And don’t leave your back to the door. I got it from behind.”
Heydon echoed Abbady’s sentiments about the training’s quality.
“I’ve done similar things, but not this in depth. This is my first paintball training … and it’s more related to getting people out alive as opposed to room clearing where your just out to kill the person.”
Heydon described what happened when his turn came.
"I got the call, got out of my vehicle on the safe side, and radioed to get all the information I could,” he said. “I learned there was a guy on the first floor, so I went in there and heard a lot of people yelling. I was clearing a room when six or seven people came out from the hallway and told me where the shooter was.”
Falling back on his training and instinct, Heydon entered the room and got shot in the arm, but continued and elmininated the threat.
“But I got shot by the second shooter,” he said. “Then I eliminated him and finished the search.”
Sergeant David Banikci, a 557th team leader, said the training was “a lot better from the all-around aspect. Everying downrange is focused on the tactical side. Here in garrison, you’re going to act competely different than a tactical situation.”
